Welcome to Montessori Universe. These Terms of Service set out the agreement between you and ECOM DDTL LIMITED, the company that operates this store. By browsing or placing an order on https://montessori-universe.co.uk, you accept these terms. Please read them carefully.
1. About us
Montessori Universe is the online store of ECOM DDTL LIMITED (business registration number 77238892), Causeway Bay, Hong Kong. We sell Montessori-inspired educational toys and learning materials for children. You can reach us by email at contact@montessori-universe.co.uk.
2. Placing an order
Your order is confirmed once your payment has been authorised and you receive our confirmation email. We may decline or cancel an order where payment cannot be verified, where fraud is suspected, or where an item is unavailable. If an item you ordered is out of stock, we will contact you to offer a replacement or a full refund.
You may cancel your order free of charge within 24 hours of placing it, provided it has not yet been dispatched. Simply email us with your order number.
3. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include applicable taxes where relevant. As UK delivery is free, the price shown on the product page is the price you pay at checkout. We may change our catalogue prices at any time, but the price confirmed at checkout is the one that applies to your order.
Payment is taken securely through certified third-party payment providers. Your card details never pass through or remain on our own systems. Your order is confirmed once payment has been approved.
4. Products
We take care to describe and picture our products accurately. Small natural variations may occur, particularly with handcrafted wooden items, where grain and shade differ from piece to piece; these are not defects. Where a genuine error appears in a listing, we reserve the right to correct it and, where it affected your order, to offer you a cancellation with a full refund.
5. Safe use of our products
Our toys are intended for use by children under adult supervision. Please follow the age guidance shown on each product page and keep packaging away from young children.
6. Delivery
We offer free standard delivery within the United Kingdom, with an estimated delivery time of 9 to 12 working days. Full details, including international orders, are set out in our Shipping Policy. Delivery estimates are given in good faith and are not guaranteed dates.
7. Cancellation, returns and refunds
You have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of delivery under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, and to return items as described in our Refund & Returns Policy, which forms part of these terms. Refunds are processed within 4 working days of inspection of the returned item.
8. Your statutory rights
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (goods must be as described, fit for purpose, and of satisfactory quality) and the Consumer Contracts Regulations.
9. Intellectual property
All content on this website (text, images, graphics, logos, product descriptions) belongs to ECOM DDTL LIMITED or is used under licence. You may not copy, republish, or commercially exploit any part of it without our prior written permission.
10. Liability
Beyond what the law requires, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of this website, nor for the content of third-party sites we may link to. Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these terms limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
11. Privacy and cookies
How we handle your personal data, including our use of cookies, is described in our Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the moment you place an order is the version that applies to that order.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Before starting any formal proceedings, we ask that you contact us first, as most issues can be resolved quickly by email. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts.
